The goal of Dishable is to create a user-friendly cooking app that allows users to easily find, customize, and organize recipes based on their preferences and needs. The app aims to support real-life cooking by offering flexible tools for adjusting ingredients, saving personalized versions, and guiding users through recipes with a clean, intuitive interface.
Many home cooks find it frustrating that most recipe apps don’t support flexible customization or account for individual dietary needs. It’s often difficult to filter recipes that fit their preferences or make substitutions. Most platforms don’t let users easily adjust serving sizes or keep track of their personalized versions. This lack of adaptability makes meal planning and daily cooking more stressful than it needs to be. There’s a need for a recipe app that allows users to filter by dietary needs, easily customize recipes, and save those changes in a way that supports their personal cooking routine.
This target audience needs a way to find meals curated for their specific needs, and they need a way to use the leftover food that comes with only cooking for one person. This audience is likely young adults from ages 18–30 who live on their own.
